All rules will be enforced. For any issues or emergencies that happen within the campground, a written report will be filled out for management/owners to review.
PLEASE NOTE: Security and Management Reports are private and are not released to campers in order to protect the privacy of individuals who may be mentioned in reports.
Vehicles
The speed limit is 10km/hr please respect it, as we have a large number of kids playing within the campground. There are speed bumps throughout the park for the safety of all. Any campers that have to be reminded numerous times will have to park their vehicles at the office and walk into the campground.
Safety
All bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. are to be put away at dusk. All children are to wear helmets as per the law on PEI. The same goes for riding motorcycles — helmets must be worn. Remind your children not to leave bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. on the ground in the parking lot at the office or on the roads. Bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE WOOD WALKWAY OR IN THE REC HALL. Children bringing them in the rec hall will be returned to their campsite, which may result in the child not being allowed in the rec hall for a selected period of time at the staff’s discretion.
Smoking/Vaping Cannabis within the park:
Cannabis is prohibited in outside public areas within the park:
- On roads and paths
- In public buildings
- Outside the rec hall
- Play and field areas
- Pool area
Campers will only be permitted to smoke/vape cannabis on their sites, in their trailers/motorhomes. Vacationland’s owner, manager and staff reserve the right at their discretion to ask you not to smoke on your sites and in your trailers/motorhomes if complaints arise from surrounding neighbours concerning smell and second-hand cannabis smoke affecting their site/campers/trailers/motorhomes. Anyone not adhering to cannabis policies or refusing to follow staff instructions will be evicted from the park without a refund.
No Open Containers — Open containers of alcohol are permitted on your site only. We ask campers to use a drink cozy or cup while attending events or walking about the park.
Noise
Please respect your neighbours. Any noise impeding the reasonable enjoyment of the park (at any time of day) is prohibited; excessive loud music, excessively boisterous campers, etc. will be asked to lower the noise level at the discretion of park staff.
Quiet Hours
Quiet time is 11pm to 8am Sunday-Thursday, and 12am to 8am Friday-Saturday. Stereos, guitars, TVs, etc. are to be shut off completely by the designated times. Excessive noise after quiet time hours will not be tolerated at the park staff's discretion. The only exception is during events that run past quiet time; notice will be posted in the store and at the security building. All guests will be advised during booking and on arrival.
Curfew
Children the age of 10 years of age and under must be back on their campsites by 9:30pm. Children ages 11-18 years must be back on their sites by 11pm, unless children have parental supervision with them. Children who are visiting other campsites require a parental escort back to their sites after 11 pm. Any Children out past 11pm will be escorted back to their site by security.
Fires
- Campers are to maintain fires of a reasonable size; for safety reasons, we do not allow the burning of large lumber, pressure-treated lumber, or pallets.
- Please do not cut or remove bark from any trees within the park.
- At no time is fire to be left unattended.
Damage
Campers are responsible for the cost to repair any damage to any park building, equipment, or belongings caused by a camper’s guest, children, pets or themselves.
Staff
Security personnel is on duty to assist with any emergency that may arise. If an emergency or conflict arises, we ask campers who are not involved or who are not assisting to return their sites in order to eliminate any escalation of the situation. At no time is a camper to take it upon themselves to enforce any rules of the campground or take matters into their own hands; we have security for a reason. Anyone who does will be reported to management, and the extent of consequences will be determined at management's discretion.
ANY VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE OF OUR STAFF WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION WITH NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED
Visitors
Visitors must register at the office, providing the site they are visiting, their name(s), vehicle's plate number, and their length of stay. A visitor pass will be given for their visit. Registered campers are responsible for the actions of their guests. Any guest that arrives after 9pm must register with security. Guests are not to park on vacant lots; they are to park at the store or on the site they are visiting.
Pets
All pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are NOT to be left unattended at your site. Please control any barking. NO pets are allowed at the pool area, in any building, or in the playground areas. Any pet that shows aggression will not be permitted back to the park.
OFF-LEASH DOG PARK
Use of the Vacationland dog park is at your own risk. Vacationland is not liable for damages or injuries through misuse, or by patrons of the park.
- Dog park hours are 8 am-8 pm
- No children under the age of 16 in the fenced area
- Only 6 dogs permitted at one time in the fenced area
- Handlers are limited to 2 dogs maximum at any one time
- Dogs must be licensed and up to date on current vaccines
- Handlers must clean up after their dogs
- Dogs must be 4 months or older
- Dogs must be in view and under the control of their handlers at all times. Handlers must be in possession of a leash at all times.
- A dog displaying aggressive tendencies must be muzzled or removed from the park
- Female dogs in heat are prohibited
- No human food is permitted in the fenced area
Garbage
Garbage shall be put in the containers and must be in a clear plastic bag. There is NO garbage pick-up at sites. Do not leave any garbage at your site. ONLY household garbage is permitted in the containers. Recyclables can placed in the garbage cans located near the containers at the front of the park. The Waste Watch program is the law on PEI. No construction materials, household furniture, mattresses, or appliances may be left as garbage.
Pool
Pool times are posted. There is NO lifeguard on duty. An adult (over 18 years) must accompany children under 12 years of age. No small dive toys or pool noodles are allowed in the pool. No diving or running in the pool area.
Please take the time to discuss the park rules with your children and guests.
Eviction Policy
We reserve the right to refuse service and/or admittance to the park at our discretion. Loud noise or music, vulgar language, and abusive attitudes of any kind will not be tolerated. Behaviour of this type will result in immediate eviction without refund. Persons evicted for reasons involving the use of and consumption of alcohol, drugs, fighting, or domestic violence will be evicted by the RCMP. This action can result in charges being laid.
